Shug- Jenny Han
My favorite 'real' story of a girl and her life as a growing teen. Her messed up love life, hurt friendships, and always come the family problems. The title and the cover were my favorite things about this book, they just stick to your mind and stay there. Also the song Technicolor Eyes by Backseat Goodbye reminds me of this book. Shug is what the mother calls the girl, i always wish i was called that. Its about a girl whose life is very difficult because of her mothers drunkenness activities and her parents divorce. Also when she comes into 7th grade she realizes she is in love with her best friend, she has no idea if he likes her back. At the end i might of even shedded a tear because i cry a lot in books because i am a total wimp with that kind of emotion =]. I also loved the authors way of expressing the girls feelings about life and point of views, its totally a book you cannot put down.
